#0960Understanding Pokémon GO Nests & Migrations
A Nest in Pokémon GO is a designated area—usually a public park, recreational area, or nature reserve—where a specific species of Pokémon spawns in unusually high numbers over a two-week period.
Nest Migration Schedule
Nest species automatically rotate globally every two weeks on Wednesday at 00:00 UTC. Special in-game events can also trigger forced nest migrations when new Pokémon species enter the spawn pool.
Farming Candy & Candy XL
Visiting high-density nests is the fastest method to farm Pokémon Candy, Candy XL, and high-IV PvP candidates for Go Battle League tournaments.
Shiny Hunting at Nests
Because nests yield dozens of encounters per hour for a single species, nests are ideal locations for shiny hunting nestable Pokémon species.
